Kick the Latch

Book was good, but hard to get through. Lots of meaningful content in there and theres a lot to take in. This book basically is describing (editorially) the life of a former horse groomer, Sonia. Its interesting as Sonia isn’t anyone famous, but her life is still compelling. The book goes into a lot of detail about the horse racing world, which was interesting but also a bit much at times. The trauma Sonia experienced is heavy and the book doesn’t shy away from it, which is commendable but also makes for a tough read. Overall, I appreciated the insight into a world I know little about, but it was a challenging book to get through due to the subject matter.
