Pillow Talk

Ok this was ok. It had interesting notes, but it felt hollow. Maybe thats my grind size, but still not the best decaf I’ve ever had. It was good though, don’t get me wrong. I just wasn’t blown away.

From the Roaster

The Pillow Talk espresso is a rare and highly expressive decaf produced by Nestor Lasso at Finca El Diviso in the Huila region of Colombia. The lot features the unique Ombligon variety—named for its “belly button” shape—which underwent a complex multi-stage process including 40 hours of oxidation and 40 hours of anaerobic fermentation before a final thermal shock. Decaffeinated using the natural Sugarcane (EA) method to preserve its vibrant character, this cup is remarkably funky and fruity, boasting intense notes of raspberry coulis and strawberry with a deep, syrupy brown sugar sweetness.
